Dear all,
I just want to know your thoughts and your mindset regarding this surah Nisah (The Women)...that I quoted below:
Nisah verse 3:
If ye fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly with the orphans,
Marry women of your choice, two, or three, or four;
But if ye fear that ye shall not
Be able to deal justly (with them),
Then only one, or (a captive)
That your right hands possess.
That will be more suitable,
to prevent you from doing injustice
Nisah verse 128:
If a wife fears cruelty or desertion on her husband's part
There is no blame on them if they arrange
An amicable settlement between themselves;
And such settlement is best;
Even though men's souls are swayed by greed.
But if ye do good
And practise self-restraint God is well acquainted
with all that ye do
Nisah verse 129:
Ye are never able to be fair and just
as between women even if it is
Your ardent desire
But turn not away (From a woman) altogether
So as to leave her (as it were)
Hanging (in the air)
If ye come to a friendly understanding and practise
Self restraint, God is oft-forgiving, Most Merciful
Unquote:
1 If ye fear shall not be Able to deal justly
2. Then only one right hand possess
3. Prevent you from doing injustice
4. Practise self-restraint God is well acquainted
5. Self restraint, God is oft-forgiving, Most Merciful
The statements above proved that to have self restraint is to gain God's Mercy and Blessing in our lives and to prevent from doing injustice and evil thoughts. We only possessed one right hand and our capability is limited to one action only. What do you think? Please feedback. Thank you.:coolious:
