InshAllah in this thread we can post beneficial duas that will gain us closeness to Allah and this will inshAllah cut down on the non-beneficial chit chat in other threads :brother:
I must say, It's my pleasure to go first and I hope everyone enjoys this dua' which one can gain closeness with Allah (swt), as was originally intended.
"Allah is the greatest, "Allah is the greatest," Allah is the greatest"
How perfect he is, The One who has placed this transport at our service, and we ourselves would not have been capable of that, and to our lord is our final destiny. O Allah, we ask you for birr and taqwaa, in this journey of ours, and weask you for deeds which please you. "O Allah" facilitate our journey and let us cover it's distance quicly. "O Allah," You are the companion on the journey and The successsion over the family, O Allah I take refuge with you from the difficulties of travel, from having a change of hearts and being in bad predicament, and I take refuge in You from an ill fated outcome with wealth and family.
Our Lord! Verily, we have heard the call of one calling to Faith: 'Believe in your Lord,' and we have believed.
Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and expiate from us our evil deeds, and make us die (in the state of righteousness) along with Al-Abrar
May Allah cleanse our hearts, to keep them pure; May Allah forgive our sins, to make room for our good deeds; May Allah protect my brothers and sisters, so that they may fulfill their destiny for Allah; May Allah cure those that are uncurable by modern medicine, for Allah only is merciful; May Allah make us as beautiful as the flowers that grow, and May we all grow in piety to Allah as the trees grow towards the sun; and May we fulfill our minds with knowledge so that we may flourish ourselves with the worlds hidden gifts. ameen
Allah does not impose upon any soul a duty but to the extent of its ability; for it is (the benefit of) what it has earned and upon it (the evil of) what it has wrought:Our Lord! do not punish us if we forget or make a mistake; Our Lord! do not lay on us a burden as Thou didst lay on those before us, Our Lord do not impose upon us that which we have not the strength to bear; and pardon us and grant us protection and have mercy on us, Thou art our Patron, so help us against the unbelieving people.

The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: O Allah, to You be the praise; You are the Light of the heavens and the earth. To You be the praise; You are the Supporter of the heavens and the earth. To You be the praise; You are the Lord of the heavens and the earth and whoever is therein. You are the Truth; Your promise is True, Your word is the Truth, the meeting with You is True, Paradise is true, Hell is true, the Hour is true. O Allah, I submit to You; affirm my faith in You; repose my trust in You, and I return to You for repentance; by Your help I have disputed; and to You I have come for decision, so forgive my earlier and later sins, the sins that I committed in secret and openly. You are my Lord. There is no deity worthy of worship but You. [Narrated by Al-Bukhari (Fath Al-Bari) Vol. XIII, p.371, Hadith no.7385, and by Muslim Vol. I, p. 532, Hadith no.769]

Our Lord! Verily, we have heard the call of one calling to Faith: 'Believe in your Lord,' and we have believed.
Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and expiate from us our evil deeds, and make us die (in the state of righteousness) along with Al-Abrar
Rasulullah (Salallahu alayhi wasallam) used to say that in Tahajjud I think... I remember Sheikh Shuraim used the " You are the Truth; Your promise is True, Your word is the Truth, the meeting with You is True, Paradise is true, Hell is true, the Hour is true" part in one of his Ramadan duas...
Anyways..
Our Lord! Pour out on us patience and constancy, and make us die as those who have surrendered themselves unto You.
"...You are my Walî in this world and in the Hereafter. Cause me to die as a Muslim, and join me with the righteous." [Surah Yusuf 101]
It is narrated from Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, that she said: I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, if I know what night is the Night of Qadr what should I say?.' He said: 'Say: O Allah you are embodiment of forgiveness and you love to pardon so pardon me.' [Ahmad, Ibn Majah, Tirmidhi]
PROPHET WHEN IN TAIF
Prophet Muhammed (PHUB) made this dua (supplication) when the taif ppl rejected Islam and stoned Blessed Messenger so much that his shoes were streaming in blood, and Most Noble Messenger made this dua.
"O Allah! I make my complaint unto You regarding the feebleness of my strength, the insignificance of my devices, and my humiliation in the sight of people. O You, the Most Merciful One! You are the Lord of the oppressed, You are my Lord. To whom would You entrust my affairs? To a stranger who would scowl at me? Or to an enemy who would control me? If you are not displeased with me, then I do not care (about any hardship), but an ease bestowed by You will be more accommodating to me. I seek refuge in the light of Your countenance (by which all darkness is dispersed and all affairs of this world and the hereafter are kept straight) from pouncing of Your anger or the coming of Your wrath. I seek your pardon in order that you may be pleased with me. There is no power nor strength except in You"
yes a perfect dua from a perfect man, who is the perfect role model to mankind, may allah be pleased with him and allow us to meet him in Jannah inshallah
Ameen
