Ok, I will teach you how to say How are You in Arabic.. and we can have some fun at same time. Ok Yalla,

Kayf al Haluk? How Are You - Arabic - Fus7a. this is understood by all Arab. And is formal classical Arabic.

NOTE: the ending when changed denotes the gender of the 2nd person.

when ending with -uk, this is for males, when ending with ek, this is for females.

for example,

Kayf al Haluk ? How are you? (for Male)

Kayf al Halek ? How are You? (for Female)

This ending with the K, or letter Kaaf in Arabic, denotes belonging. it means belonging to YOU. haluk, means your health. Kitabuk, means your book, Qalamuk means your pen. And of course, if u switch the UK for EK, it can be used for female.

Here are some more ways to say how are you in Arabic>

Kayfuk? - shortened from the above,

Shoo Akhbaruk? - literally - What is your news,

Shakhbaruk ? - shortened from the above,

Shlawnuk ?- Whats your colour?, means how are you !

Shaami ARabic (lebanon, Syria, Palestine, Jordan)

these are big give away as to where you come from if you use these.

Keeyfuk? - how are you,

shoobaduk? - what you doing/ slang.. very informal, rude

Shaami Arabic is spoken in countries referred to as bilad ashaam, basically countries in the syria region (shaam) i.e palestine, Lebanon, Jordan. Well thats my guess anyway

Ok Masha'allah I already knew all of these from before, now it would be interesting to list different types of replies to these.........so anyone? :D

imnee7? :? what is that exactly supposed to mean? first time I"ve heard it :p

Yemenis usually say Murtaah or Haali :D

Assalamu'Alaykum

imnee7 means - im good [ also shami]

we say Kayf halik {f} or kayf halak {m}

Shulon is also some parts of the Khaleej {gulf} like Kuwait.

Yemeni - Kayfesh we add an ESH at the end for female form. other areas of the gulf say ICH [ UAE Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain ] so they would say kayfich
