For a man, which is better according to Islam: glasses or non-colored contact lenses?

Assalamu Alaykum,

For a man who has myopia, which is better to wear according to Islam: glasses or non-colored contact lenses?

According to Islam both are the same and halal

I wear non colored contacts for 8 years now and i really like them, as i don't like the concept of seeing the world through something which happens with glasses but both are fine and both are halal.

Choose what is better for you and what makes you feel more comfortable.
 
Contact lenses and me don't seem to get on, they are nice, but after about a year I couldn't take them anymore.

Ah well, I don't mind glasses. I've been wearing them for so long I don't look right without them now.

One is better than the other, which one? that depends on each individual. Both have pros and cons. If you don't want to feel like looking at the world through a window and having to worry about misplacing them and cleaning them, etc then go with contacts. on the other hand if you need to switch between reading and seeing far (driving) or don't like the feeling of irritation that some get with contacts or the hassle of poking your eyes to put them in and taking them out every night then go with glasses. Either case, if this is your first time then try them both out and see which one you are more comfortable with.

I fear having contact lenses. I imagine it be gore-like, where you pull scratch out your eyes in a bloody mess. :/ I therefore prefer glasses over lenses.

You can get photochromic lens eyeglasses which look like regular sunglasses when you're out in the sun.

I used to use contact lenses... it is great when all is well. But irritation can occur. But my main problem is that I ride bike to work. I have had the unfortunate incident where dust gets in the eye and it is a real pain and hassle...


Better with glasses.

I am suppose to wear glasses but i choose not to.

I think long term use of glasses weakens your eyes.

That is just my opinion. I am not an eye specialist lol.
 
booth are batter but lenses is more difficult then glasses because health of eyes I think.
