Salaam,
I wish to start off lightly. Implementing reciting Quran eventually as a daily routine, into my life.
There is a specific style I wish to start from (and learn) and would like help identifying what maqamat this may be. ("Maqamat" is a new term I came across, so do correct me if I'm wrong in the meaning).
It is the recitations of Qari – Raad Muhammad Al-Kurdi.
This is the style I wish to learn, especially from listening to his recitation of Surah Al-Naziah.

(Alternatively, it is titled on YouTube: “Emotional & beautiful Quran recitation by Qari Muhammad Al Kurdi” )
Furthermore, on the second aayat (as one example), during the ghunna part, he does a fragile shake which I wish to learn.
From my limited understanding, I’d believe some of the tones/melodies are his own and unique, such as his choice of making his voice feel fragile at parts, as though it is breaking – I really wish to learn this as it adds more connection to me with the words of Allah (SWT). Is this his own style? And Is the specific technique I have described associated with any major maqamat, or more his own choice, and if so how would I learn it?
Jazak Allahu khayran,
Taher
