Hi guys, hope you're all doing well.
I recently heard that mcdonald's uses alcohol in their caramel iced frappe.
On their website they said "Our Frappes do not contain gelatine. However, alcohol is used during the manufacturing process of our Caramel Iced Frappe, Chocolate Chip Iced Frappe and whipped cream ingredients. The level of alcohol is very low and evaporates during the process. The alcohol level in the final Caramel Iced Frappe, Chocolate Chip Iced Frappe and whipped cream is less that 0.05%. All our Frappes are available without cream."
Is this still permissible to consume? Some believe that it is permissible as the level of alcohol is miniscule and cannot cause intoxication. However, some argue that it is best to not buy it as alcohol is alcohol, whether it's miniscule or not, it's not permissible to consume.
What do you guys think?
