Qur’an (Tajweed & Arabic) Background
Qari Imran Khan is a reciter of Qur’an. He has studied with various scholars and teachers around the world. He lived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia for 18 years. He was born in Hyderabad, India in 1975. He has done Electronic Engineering diploma, and Bachelor of Technology from Memorial Univeristy of Newfoundland, Canada. He currently lives in Dubai,UAE. His Chain of Recitors goes back to the PROPHET (S.A.W). He studied under Sheikh Anmar Nassir who is a student of Sheikh Abdul Rahman Abdul Aziz Uyoon As Sood. He had the honor of working with Sheikh Syed Jibreel (who is an elder brother of World Famous Qari Ash-Sheikh Mohammad Jibreel, a very famous egyptian reciter) in Santa Clara Masjid, MCA in Darul Qur’an program in California, USA for almost 2 years.
He had the honor and pleasure of meeting and learning with Sheikh Ali Jaber(may Allah have his mercy on him), Previous Imam of Masjid-ul-Haram, Makkah.
He also studied under:
Shiekh Abdul-Bari As Thubayti (Curent Imam Of Masjid-un-Nabavi, Madinah)
Shiekh Abdullah Basfar (Jeddah)
and many more..............
After going to Halifax, Canada in 1995, he had the honor of working and studying with Dr. Jamal Badawi for the last 10 years. Now he is the regular Khateeb and a speaker for the youth and the community alhumdulillah.
Finally he is on a mission across the Muslim Youth and community to share the knowledge of Tajweed, Qira’ah, and how to understand Qur’an (Arabic) in a very short time. He has prepared a CD that combines all the rules of Tajweed and also conducts workshops on Tajweed, Azan seminars, Qira’ah seminars and workshops around the world.
